Blood Covenant: On the Sin of Wrath

The Lord tests His faithful, just as a smith strikes a newly forged blade to see if it rings true – or cracks. For only by testing us He shall know who is worthy of salvation, and who shall be destined for eternal suffering. We are to withstand these tests patiently, like Job did.

But many fail, and they feel wronged, and they feel anger burn inside them like embers. They raise their clenched fists to the Heavens and say: I do not agree with the lot you assigned to me, oh Lord, and I shall oppose your will, or perish doing so.

Thus is born the most egregious sin, that of Wrath. Those who oppose the vrakhiri regime – who think or speak ill of our knyaz, or, worse yet, pick up arms against him – are guilty of it. But fear not, for they shall be punished, both in this life and the next. They shall be found, tortured, bled dry, and their empty husks displayed for all to see. Their souls shall be condemned to the lowest rungs of Hell, to wither and writhe under Its burning gaze.
