The 
Hive is a living Naytiba nest. It rapidly produces small Naytibas, so you must act quickly.
Ecological Information
It would be a mistake to assume that all Naytibas look like “living things”. Sometimes, they form a massive cluster of twisted, tumorous nests. The Hive is one of these Naytiba nests, and it constantly produces these small Naytibas.

Found blocking the way past the Deteriorated Lobby Camp, and then again in the air vent. Destroy the barrels wrapped up in its tendrils to kill them.

You will encounter a Hive blocking a subway carriage. Thankfully, where there are Hive, there are explosive barrels. You know what to do.

Found blocking a gate in the tunnel beyond the Fusion Drive-locked door, after leaving the Underground Sanctuary. There are multiple other Hive in this area, blocking gates, and entrances to tunnels.

Found along the west wall of the flooded tunnel at the Train Graveyard. There’s another at the north end of the tunnel.

Found blocking the way to the Supply Camp at the top of the stairs.
225429. Abyss Levoire
The Hive at the end of the spinning blades section can be killed by shooting the three explosive barrels wrapped up in its tendrils. This will also stop the blades.
