The whole story has been revealed. Return the Comrades Memorysticks to Sentinel Hugh and tell him what happened.
Synopsis
Hugh, a Sentinel, wants a favor from EVE.
Sentinels aren’t phased by seeing new Naytibas or mutated Naytibas; it’s just part of everyday life for them. However, when a new type that seems especially dangerous emerges, they form a surveillance team to observe it. The recently spotted type with weaponized neck and shoulders is one of such Naytibas.
Hugh says he has lost contact with the surveillance team that formed to observe the anomalous Naytiba. He wants EVE to locate them to ensure their safety, since the Sentinels can’t afford to dispatch an investigation squad at the moment.
EVE follows the directions provided by Hugh to the surrounding areas of the Oil Storage Facility in the Wasteland, where she finds Sentinel corpses. It seems they all died in an instant.
Just then, 
Gigas appears to attack EVE, which takes her by surprise. Though imperfect, this Gigas had no trouble wiping out multiple Sentinels at once.
EVE takes down Gigas and retrieves the Memorysticks for Hugh. Hugh is upset, but in the end accepts that the Sentinels will never come back, and goes to report the incident to his boss. Sentinels, after all, are no strangers to death.
