The Final War became a hellish all-out battle, and 
Mother Sphere requisitioned all the corporate infrastructure of “humanity.” Most of the bizarre equipment planned and produced at that time was lost when we were pushed off to the orbit. Things like the Exospine that ignored design philosophy and focused only on improving combat capability.

Increases Max Burst Energy by 600.
Grade 2
Increases Burst Skill Attack Power by 30%.
Grade 3
Recharges Burst Energy by 50 when Combo Attacks at Level 4 or above are used.

Power up and ride the elevator to the upper level of the Underground Sewer. Take a right and follow the corridor to the end. You’ll find an open doorway blocked by some crates. The Exospine (and a pesky Naytiba) can be found inside.
