How to Get the Pest Control Achievement in Baldur’s Gate 3

Hide behind the rock and pick off the eggs when you can. This eliminates two easy sources of egg hatches for the Matriarch Spider, making it easier to get Pest Control in BG3.

To get the pest control achievement in BG3, players can try the following strategy:

1. Set all characters into stealth mode
2. Send one ranged character across the web to the stone platform on the right. Make sure to grab some anti-web boots, which you can find in a chest in room on the left side of the well entrance to the Whispering Depths, after you have entered the cave system. These prevent CC effects from the webbing in the region, which stop you from sending alarm signals to the boss, allowing safe passage over to get the achievement.
3. Have that person hide behind the distant rocks near the other web and have them take shots at the spider eggs on the same platform as them. Make sure to shoot while no other spider is looking at them. There’s also some more eggs on the other side of the platform you can hit when she’s not looking or crossing near you.
4. The next set of eggs are on the level below. Move your characters behind the large rock on the first platform you approach from the main cave area. Once again stealth over and hide behind the rock to avoid the Matriarch.
5. From there, have more ranged character pick off the eggs below while the smaller spiders are not looking at the eggs. If you can snipe the eggs while the spiders are not looking at them, you wont enter combat.

Once all the eggs have been picked off, you can fight the boss. Defeat the boss and spider adds, and you will get the Pest Control Achievement in BG3.
