Now that I’ve got the Scanner and the artifact back, I’m relying on Dalin to come through. Hopefully that weird rock is worth something to him. More importantly, I’m about to find out the truth about my home and who’s behind it all. I’m sure I’ll find the answers at SIRCAA.

The residents of Zalissya apparently know Solder, but they’re still reluctant to tell me about him. Their terms are clear: if I want intel on Solder, I gotta find Squint first. Looks like I’ll have to trade a looter for a snitch.

Now I’ve lost both the Scanner and the artifact, and my head’s still reeling from the blow it took. Hermann has gone off the air, so I’ll have to find those bastards myself. I guess I need to scout the area and find a place where the locals gather to exchange the latest news and rumors.

Now that I’ve got Prof. Kalancha’s map, I’m ready to confront Faust and reclaim my Scanner. However, I first need to deactivate the psi-beacons in the Swamps to open the path to Clear Sky. It won’t be a walk in the park – some specialized equipment could come in handy.

I found the Doctor. He’s preoccupied with saving Strider and won’t talk about Strelok until the Noontider is stable. Strider can be revived using a special device used by the Monolithians. I might be able to get one from the Monolith infirmary.

The Signal seems to be originating from the Emitter. It’s hard to believe a device so small can bend people’s will so effectively. I need to find someone who knows what to do with it.

Solder turned out to be nothing more than a flunky. Nevertheless, he still served a purpose: he told me that a guy called Nestor was the mastermind behind the entire scanner scheme. Richter said his stalker friends at the Detention Center can help me find him.

Trusting Varan was a mistake. He was gonna screw me over all along, and his captive will never talk again. Nevertheless, I did uncover something useful after all: the captive had an unusual PDA that the bandits overlooked. I need to show it to Diode. As a tech, perhaps he can tell me who in the Zone might be using these things.

The plan I made with Hermann has failed because of that slippery guy Solder. Although, I have to admit that one out of three coordinates did turn out to be golden, just not for me. He sold us out. But to whom? I need to track the bastard down and interrogate him with extreme prejudice. That’s the only way to get the Scanner back.

Strider is confident that Noontide played no part in the attacks – they’ve renounced their Monolithian past and embraced a new way. I’m inclined to believe him, especially since Strider has offered to help me intercept communications from the Monolith PDA to identify the perpetrators. I’ll have to activate Azimuth Station, which is currently occupied by the Ward, and replace the Inductor there. The Wardens should have the access keys for the station.

Strelok has figured out how to pinpoint the location of the STALKER Program Control Center. Simply activating the neuroprogrammers in Lab X3 should do the trick. The problem is, the lab’s controlled by the Ward. Naturally, I’m the one who has to make it happen, not him.

According to the Representative of C-Consciousness, eternal life exists in the Noosphere. Whether this is true or not, you can only find out for sure by reaching the Center of the Zone. So far, only Strelok has succeeded, so he must know the way. But to reach him, I first need to find another legend of the Zone – the Doctor. He was last seen in the Red Forest… I hope these are not just fairy tales.

The fact that I found the Emitter on Wild Island didn’t surprise Scar at all. I don’t like that he’s keeping me in the dark, but he’s got a plan to prevent the Ward from destroying the Zone, and the Emitter will help make it happen.

Now I’m certain that Faust is responsible for orchestrating the attack against me. With the help of Strider, the leader of Noontide, I found out that the preacher has an ally within the Ward’s Camp Icarus. If I can interrogate this man, maybe I can discover Faust’s whereabouts and get my Scanner back.

Following Diode’s lead, I found Nestor’s personal notes and uncovered the entire Scanner operation. It’s clear to me now that Varan’s men were behind the attack on the kingpin’s couriers. Looks like it’s time to go to the Plant and ask the bandit a few unpleasant questions.

Now that I have the coordinates, all I have to do is get inside the Foundation control center. Once we’re done with Spark and Degtyarev, nothing will stop us from wiping the Zone off the face of the Earth.

Seems like I’ve stumbled across some secrets the Ward would rather keep hidden. My run-in with Korshunov at the TCS ended with me getting knocked out, stripped of all my gear, and tossed into a cage. I doubt they’re keeping me alive out of the goodness of their hearts. I need to bust out before Korshunov comes back looking for answers – if he gets them, he won’t have any use for me.

I’ve retrieved the Scanner, but Faust managed to get away again. I still don’t know what he’s after. Is it revenge? I should probably talk to Strider about this.

I’m about to venture into the very heart of the Zone, and the only path forward goes through the Dead Valley. My goal is within reach. I need to get to the Generators alive, at any cost, and restore the broken connection with the Foundation.

I’ve finally got an opportunity to go mano a mano with Faust. Whatever the Spark’s agenda is, Scar knows one thing: if Faust isn’t stopped now, the repercussions could extend far beyond the Zone. Besides, who in their right mind would willingly become one of these zombies? It’s time to make a move!

After a close encounter with Dr. Dalin and Scar, I managed to find out that the unusual PDA recovered from Varan’s prisoner is a device used years ago by a Monolith faction. The trail leads to Wild Island, the headquarters of Noontide – a group made up of former Monolithians. My attackers apparently have some ties to Noontide. I need to find a way there and have a serious talk with their leader.

Strider thinks that the Monolith has been transferred to SIRCAA – the same Monolith that stalkers used to call the Wish Granter. He’s concerned that those eggheads might try to activate it. I need to find out if he’s right about this.

A mysterious professor collecting mutant collars and running his own moonshine operation… not too long ago, I wouldn’t have given Richter the time of day, but now it seems like he’s our only lead. If what Ozersky said about the Controller Project turns out to be true, this could be the key to neutralizing Faust.

Monolith is back, awakened by some kind of signal. I’ve got to locate the source of this signal and find out what’s going on.

Varan claims that Nestor set him up. He says his bandits were also targeted because of the Scanner, and now he’s holding one of the attackers prisoner. He offered to give me some information if I eliminate one of his rivals for Garbage’s throne: Roosevelt, the head of the Commissary, or the Shah, the kingpin of the Brood. He hinted that the Shah has been dealing with Huron from the Slag Heap. As for Roosevelt, I should look for his former comrade Borodulin, who’s often found drinking in Garbage.

Dalin’s experiment has gone horribly wrong. Instead of linking with the Generators and gaining control over the Zone, he’s unleashed a slew of new issues – including the re-emergence of Monolith. Hopefully Korshunov and Dalin can figure out how to clean this mess up, but that’s a problem for another day. My immediate concern is escaping from the ruins of SIRCAA.

It turns out the Doctor is none other than Dr. Kaimanov, who was slated to enter the eighth pod alongside the other members of C-Consciousness, but backed out at the eleventh hour. He’s willing to help me test the Subtle Matter theory and get to the truth. To do this, I need to find the entrance to Lab X3 somewhere at the Cordon and retrieve the cartridge from the Signature Station.

I managed to get into the Generators without crossing the Dead Valley. Now I just need to reach the X7 lab’s Eighth pod. The Zone is my new home, and my future is inextricably linked with her, but only the owner of the Heart of Chornobyl will change the fate of the Zone forever.

Camp Icarus is a restricted facility, which means that Faust’s associate is affiliated with the Ward. I’m sure the men in charge of Icarus will help me root out the traitor in their midst.

The Ward is ready to get even with Faust, and they’re counting on me to make it happen. I hope this much-vaunted Suppressor will deliver as promised, otherwise this entire mission will go down in history as a meticulously planned suicide rather than a reckoning for the Duga. But we’ve got no choice – the future of more than just the Zone is at stake.

With the cartridge from X3 in my possession, I’m now heading to Orbita Station. Beneath it is the underground Laboratory X15, where Kaimanov once tried to establish a connection to the Noosphere. According to the Doctor, what I’ll find there could either prove or disprove the Representative’s claims about Subtle Matter. Although Kaimanov himself saw nothing resembling life in the Noosphere during his tenure in X15, the emergence of the Zone could have changed everything.

Dalin suspects outside interference in his experiment. He kept talking about routers and security protocols, but the bottom line is that this whole debacle has rebooted the Monolith’s programming. So there we have it. Korshunov plans to attack the Duga captured by the Monolithians. I need to rendezvous with Senkevych’s group. It’s time to gear up for the assault.

Looks like the main route to Prypiat goes through Yaniv Station, which is controlled by the Corps. I’ll try going that way, and if they don’t let me through, I’ll track down a stalker called Spirit. He might be able to help me.

I made it. All I need to do now is take care of the teleport device, bring Spark’s expedition squad to the Generators, get to the X7 lab, and help Scar enter the Eighth Pod to initiate the Shining – eternal life in the Noosphere. I hope to finally find my bright and peaceful new home out there.

If I don’t get this sorted out quickly, Dr. Dalin’s experiment and the testing of the Alpha artifact could be in jeopardy. Seems like a fair trade-off: Hermann gets my special stone, and I get a new home and hope for a new life. All I have to do is cross the Perimeter and successfully activate the Scanner. That know-it-all insists it’s the only way to restore the anomalous properties of my faded artifact. I’m just hoping this little experiment won’t drag on too long, regardless of the tall tales going around about this Zone.

He’s alive, and this device is his invention. As for Dalin… it was his unbridled ambition that left me without a home. Well, now I know who’s gonna pay the price.
