This floating Elder Dragon is colossal enough to have an ecosystem
of flora living on it. It consumes the earth and swallows forests
whole as it wanders in search of rich soil.

Attacks foes by forcefully expelling Thunderbugs and Dracophage
Bugs from its body. The expelled Thunderbugs are highly unstable
and will explode at the slightest touch.

Although wingless, Yama Tsukami can still float via internal gases.
It ingests vast amounts of soil and rotted carrion, which in turn
release gases that allow it to float for long periods of time.

this male Elder Dragon can ascend to the heavens by generating
fierce updrafts.

The special gas stored in its wind sacs allows this monster

Its thunder sacs thrum with stored electric power, enabling control
over lightning and giving this monster an eerie golden glow.

Thunder Serpent Narwa’s floating mechanism differs from Wind
Serpent Ibushi’s. Its thunder sacs produce a current that generates
a magnetic field with which the monster’s body is held aloft.

It searches for suitable nest locations to await males during
breeding season. After a pair meet, they take to the sky and
resonate, creating a powerful storm that damages the surroundings.

out of thin air and instantly freeze any creature that stands
before it, turning even massive monsters to icebound statues.

Velkhana can produce a supercooled liquid within its body that

Velkhana increases the amount of supercooled water it produces
upon entering a heightened emotional state. The water eventually

vast quantities of water. Unique electric organs allow it to charge
water attacks with electricity, creating massive explosions.

This monster’s skin is made of flexible fibers that can change

Beyond controlling water, this monster can release energy stored
in electricity-generating organs from its limbs and wings. Intense

the night to drain the energy from its prey. Once it has drunk
its fill, it reveals its dreadful true form in all its glory.

Malzeno uses life-forms called the Qurio to drain the energy
of other living creatures. The Qurio harbor a unique virus that
can inflict the Blood Rite condition on their prey.

When Malzeno becomes invigorated, its carapace turns black as ink
while the chest and webbing become blood-red. In this “Blood Rite”
state, it loses self-control and becomes extremely violent.

This enormous Elder Dragon preserved the Sacrosanctum’s ecosystem
200 years ago, earning it the title of “Sentinel,” but it vanished
after the Sacrosanctum was destroyed during the Rift War.

After devouring battle-bound monsters during the war 200 years ago,
this monster gave rise to the Crystal Encroachment. Traces of its
existence have begun reappearing over the last decade.

While this monster preyed on the Sacrosanctum’s enemies and helped
it prosper, it also sought to eliminate the battle-bound monsters
used in the Rift War, leading to the Sacrosanctum’s destruction.
