Between Lymbic Invasions, the Hellion Formations were never unmade and their banners never furled. Instead, they swelled in might and renown, their doctrines and sigils no longer the secrets of warriors alone, but the knowledge of all Hadeans.
The fortresses and chapels of the Hellion Lodges rose across the land, each shaped by the creed of those within. Their walls bore the marks of their respective foe. Patterns of warding, low reliefs of omen, statues of defiance, and sigils of dread, all woven from the visual essence of the entities they swore to vanquish. Every stone, every carving, every relic whispered of the foe for which it was wrought, a visual vow mimicking the very creatures they are sworn to slay.
Time passed, and what once was the styling of the Lodges had become the people’s inheritance. In the vaults of temples and the battlements of keeps, in the carvings upon stone and the flowing script upon parchment, in the weave of garments and the painter’s brushes, the mark of the Hellion Lodges aesthetics could often be seen. No longer cosmetics of war, but now the breath of the land and its people.
