Ash of War: Charge Forth grants the Quality affinity to a weapon (which balances Strength and Dexterity scaling, decreases base damage) and the Skill: Charge Forth.

• Can be found from a Teardrop Scarab in Liurnia of the Lakes in the Academy Gate Town. It is attached to the ceiling under a bridge just above Poison Pod enemies. There is no lock-on available so you must manually aim with a bow or other ranged weapon.

• Can be used on Polearms capable of thrusting, Heavy Thrusting Swords, and Twinblades.

Ash of War: Determination is an Ash of War and Upgrade Material thyat provides the Quality affinity and allows you to buff yourself to empower your next attack.

Ash of War: Determination can be looted from a Teardrop Scarab on the path at the bridge north of Agheel Lake.

• Skill: Determination.
• Provides the Quality affinity, which balances Strength and Dexterity scaling, decreases Base damage.

Ash of War: Giant Hunt grants the Quality affinity (which balances Strength and Dexterity scaling, decreases Base damage) when attached to a weapon and allows for the use of the Skill: Giant Hunt when the weapon is equipped.

• Dropped from the Night’s Cavalry (East Raya Lucaria Gate) boss who patrols the road here at night.

• Usable on large and colossal weapons capable of thrusting, spears, and twinblades.

Ash of War: Phantom Slash is an Ash of War and Upgrade Material that provides Quality affinity and the Phantom Slash Skill.

• Ash of War: Phantom Slash can be looted from the Night’s Cavalry northeast the Forbidden Lands Grace in the Forbidden Lands.

• Skill Phantom Slash.
• Can be used with any affinity Upgrade.

Ash of War: Royal Knight’s Resolve grants the Quality affinity to a weapon when the Ash of War is attached and allows the use of the Skill: Royal Knight’s Resolve when the weapon is equipped.

• Found in a room beneath Volcano Manor’s main area. The room is accessed by removing the barrier for the Imp Statue, and then jumping down the cages to the bottom. You can find the room at the bottom.

• Can be used with all melee weapons.
• FP Cost: 15
• Buffs damage of next attack by 80%.

Ash of War: Spinning Strikes grants the Quality affinity (balances Strength and Dexterity) to a weapon once attached and allows the use of the Skill: Spinning Strikes.

• If you complete Irina’s questline then you can meet Edgar the Revenger as an invader at the Revenger’s Shack in Liurnia of the Lakes. If you defeat him, he will drop the Banished Knight’s Halberd +8 which has the Ash of War attached. This can then be extracted.
• Alternatively, you can kill Edgar at Castle Morne if you wish to receive the halberd sooner.

• Usable on polearms (great spears excepted).

Ash of War: Square Off grants the Quality affinity (which balances Strength and Dexterity scaling, decreases Base damage) once attached to a weapon and allows for the use of the Skill: Square Off.

• Siofra River: North west of the Worshippers’ Woods Site of Grace, in front of the large waterfall along the western cliff edge is a Teardrop Scarab that will drop the Ash of War.

• Usable on straight swords.
• Can instantly break stances when a light attack is used on weaker enemies.

Ash of War: Storm Assault grants the Quality affinity when attached to a weapon and allows for the use of the Skill: Storm Assault when the weapon is equipped.

• Found in Stormveil Castle. From the Rampart Tower Site of Grace, exit out where the Warhawks and barrels can be found. From the tower to the west, past the Warhawk carrying the barrel, jump to the north side on to the battlements there. If you jump down to the walls underneath you can reach the corpse there but fall further down, to land on a ledge that will collapse, where you will land in some bushes at the bottom. The Teardrop Scarab holding the Ash of War can be found there.

• Usable on polearms capable of thrusting, heavy thrusting swords, and twinblades.

The Ash of War: Storm Blade grants the Quality affinity (balances Strength and Dexterity scaling at the cost of base damage) when attached to a weapon and allows for the use of the Skill: Storm Blade when the weapon is equipped.

• Can be purchased from Knight Bernahl at the Warmaster’s Shack in Limgrave for 1,800 Runes.
• If you possess Bernahl’s Bell Bearing, you can then buy it from the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold.

• Usable on swords (colossal weapons and twinblades excepted).

Ash of War: Storm Stomp is an Ash of War and Upgrade Material that provides the Quality affinity and the Storm Stomp Skill.

• Ash of War: Storm Stomp can be found in the southeastern area of Gatefront Ruins.

• Skill: Storm Stomp on all melee weapons.
• Provides the Quality affinity, which balances Strength and Dexterity Scaling, and decreases Base damage

Ash of War: Stormcaller grants the Quality (balances both Dexterity and Strength but reduces base damage) affinity when attached to a weapon and allows for the use of the Skill: Stormcaller.

• Stormveil Castle: Just before the Secluded Cell Site of Grace, in the northern part of the castle you can find a Teardrop Scarab that holds this Ash of War. It can be found just past the courtyard and before you head towards Godrick the Grafted.

• Usable on swords capable of slashing, axes, hammers, and polearms (small and colossal weapons excepted).

Ash of War: Vacuum Slice grants the Quality affinity (balances Strength and Dexterity scaling) to a weapon when the Ash of War is attached and allows the use of the Skill: Vacuum Slice when the weapon is equipped.

• At the bottom level of Deeproot Depths: From the Across the Roots Site of Grace, head southwest to reach the ruined temple that is surrounded by waterfalls. The Ash of War is inside.

• Can only be used on swords and axes (small and colossal axes excepted.)
• Skill FP Cost: 18
• While fairly weak and slow, the AoE from the skill is quite effective.
