Ash of War: Carian Greatsword is an Ash of War and Upgrade Material that provides Magic affinity and the Carian Greatsword Skill.

Ash of War: Carian Greatsword can be purchased from the following locations:

• Sold by Sorcerer Rogier at Stormveil Castle or the Roundtable Hold for 2,500 Runes.
• Can be bought from Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold after giving them Rogier’s Bell Bearing.

• Skill Carian Greatsword Skill.
• Can be used with the following affinity Upgrades: Standard, Heavy, Keen, Quality, Magic, Cold

The Ash of War: Carian Retaliation grants the Magic affinity (which adds Magic damage and Intelligence scaling, decreases base damage, Strength/Dexterity scaling) when attached to a shield and allows for the use of the Skill: Carian Retaliation when a shield is equipped.

• Purchased from Pidia: Carian Servant for 3000 Runes in Caria Manor. She can only be reached by dropping down the cliffs from the southeast side of the Three Sisters.

• Can only be used with small and medium shields.
• You can still parry normal physical attacks as normal.
• Only costs FP when deflecting spells successfully.

The Ash of War: Glintblade Phalanx grants the Magic affinity (which adds Magic damage and Intelligence scaling, reduces base damage and Strength/Dexterity scaling) when attached to a weapon and allows for the use of the Skill: Glintblade Phalanx when the weapon is equipped.

• Can be removed from Rogier’s Rapier once Godrick the Grafted has been defeated and Sorcerer Rogier has returned to Roundtable Hold. Speak to him out on the balcony there to receive his rapier and then remove the Ash of War at the blacksmith.

• Usable on swords as well as polearms capable of thrusting (colossal weapons excepted).

The Ash of War: Glintstone Pebble grants the Magic affinity (which adds Magic damage and Intelligence scaling, reduces Base damage and Strength/Dexterity Scaling) when attached to a weapon and allows for the use of the Skill: Glintstone Pebble.

• Purchased from Sorcerer Rogier at Stormveil Castle or Roundtable Hold for 1,500 Runes.
• If you possess Rogier’s Bell Bearing, can be bought from the Twin Maiden Husks in Roundtable Hold instead.

• Usable on swords as well as polearms capable of thrusting (colossal weapons excepted).
• The damage from the Skill only scales with Intelligence and deals the most damage with the Magic upgrade path. Other upgrade types deal a lot less damage even if Intelligence remains the same.

The Ash of War: Gravitas grants the Magic affinity (which adds Magic Damage and Intelligence Scaling, but Reduces Base Damage and Strength/Dexterity Scaling) when attached to a weapon and allows for the use of the Skill: Gravitas when the weapon is equipped.

• Dropped from the Slender Wayfarer enemy down at the beach in the south of Limgrave near the Seaside Ruins Site of Grace. It patrols near the large stone archway with the bonfire and will use this skill during the fight.

• Usable on melee armaments (small armaments and whips excepted).
• One of the earliest possible ways to add the Magic affinity to a weapon which is ideal for Intelligence-based builds.

Ash of War: Loretta’s Slash grants the magic affinity (which adds Magic damage and Intelligence scaling, reduces Base damage and Strength/Dexterity scaling) when attached to a weapon and allows for the use of the Skill: Loretta’s Slash. This is a unique skill used by the Royal Knight Loretta boss.

• Received for defeating Royal Knight Loretta in Caria Manor.

• Usable on polearms and twinblades.

Ash of War: Spinning Weapon grants the Magic affinity (which adds Magic damage and Intelligence scaling, reduces base damage and Strength/Dexterity scaling) when attached to a weapon and allows for the use of the Skill: Spinning Weapon when the weapon is equipped.

• Can be purchased from Sorcerer Rogier in Stormveil Castle or when he returns to Roundtable Hold for 1,000 Runes.
• If you possess Rogier’s Bell Bearing, it can be then be purchased from the Twin Maiden Husks in Roundtable Hold.

• Usable on small and medium swords, axes, and hammers, as well as polearms and staves (great spears excepted).

Ash of War: Thops’s Barrier is an Ash of War and Upgrade Material in Elden Ring that provides Magic affinity and the Thops’s Barrier Skill.
