The Land of Shadow, a mysterious and foreboding region obscured by the Erdtree, serves as the haunting backdrop for ELDEN RING’s largest expansion to date, “Shadow of the Erdtree.” This desolate land, where the goddess Marika first set foot, has been purged by an unsung battle and set ablaze by Messmer’s flame. It is in this dark realm that Miquella, divesting himself of all things golden, awaits the return of his promised Lord.
In this expansive DLC, players are guided by Empyrean Miquella into the depths of the Land of Shadow. As they traverse these strange new lands, they will uncover dark secrets and encounter others who follow in Miquella’s footsteps, each with their own ulterior motives. The new story invites players to delve deeper into the lore and mysteries of the world from the critically acclaimed fantasy action RPG, ELDEN RING.
“Shadow of the Erdtree” extends beyond the familiar Lands Between, introducing a completely new world full of secrets and challenges. Players can seamlessly travel between vast maps and intricate dungeons filled with menacing enemies. This expansion also deepens the RPG elements of ELDEN RING, offering new weapons, equipment, weapon skills, and magic, along with new enemies, boss encounters, and plotlines that further enhance players’ freedom and experience.
To cater to different preferences and platforms, several editions and bundles are available. The ELDEN RING Shadow of the Erdtree Edition bundles the base game and the expansion at an affordable price. Premium editions include an art book and soundtrack, while the Collector’s Edition features an impressive 46cm statue of “Messmer the Impaler,” a key boss character in the expansion, alongside other exclusive items.
