The Automatic Carbine sits in the same family as the Burst-Fire Carbine and the legendary Bodycount, in that it is a high-velocity automatic weapon that will keep the undead are more than arm’s length from your face.

The Burst-Fire Carbine comes in a few varieties, including the one you see here which we picked up in a mission. It is the bigger brother of the Automatic Carbine, but less effective than the Bodycount. It is, as Goldilocks would say, just right.

It might not have the rapid-fire stopping power of an Automatic Carbine or Bodycount but it will allow you to pick off your favorite zombies from a distance you are comfortable with.

This UZI-a-like Machine Pistol provides a super-fast way of cutting through the horde. It eats bullets for breakfast though so make sure you are well stocked with enough ammo to feed it constantly.

A staple (sorry, no more DIY puns) of many a garage, the Nailgun fires high-velocity projectiles in the direction of your attackers.

A basic handgun, the likes of which most people own. It’s surprising there aren’t more left just lying about the place.

Dead Island 2’s very own Boomstick. The shotgun can be upgraded, sawed off and generally made more deadly. But this base version is not a bad jumping off point.

With a bit more pop behind it than the likes of the Hunting Rifle, the Sporting Rifle will let you keep the bad guys at arm’s length a bit more easily.

The only question here, is did you fire five, or six bullets?
