Optional Bosses can be found on the world map and inside the many fields and dungeons that you can find scattered across 
The Continent. If you enter into an encounter with an enemy and see a name bar at the top of the screen, you know you’re in for a tougher fight than ususal. Chromatic enemy variants like this one are supercharged versions of enemies you fight elsewhere, and offer better rewards than the regular variants.

In the room opposite where you find the 
Expedition 55 journal, take the rope down to the level below. At the bottom, use the grapple point and head down the stairs. Take a ride on the floating disc elevator, and you’ll find this foe waiting for you just up the steps to the left.
